This camera shows the view towards Mount Si from our home in the Snoqualmie Valley. At night, the lights from Snoqualmie Falls are faintly visible in the right hand side of the picture. If you keep watching during the day you can see the clouds and trees move as the image automatically updates.

The picture is taken using an iBook and an iSight camera. The iBook uses Gawker to capture images and our web server uses a script I wrote to fetch the images from Gawker. A series of scripts converts these still images into the time-lapse movie you see.
